All packed and ready to go...

... well pretty much. I really have a few last minute things to do, but, other than that I am pretty much ready to fly on out to DC tonight. I will be staying with my friend until monday and then heading over to staging. We will leave out of DC on the 15th, and have a 12 hour layover in Amsterdam before we fly on to Georgia. I will have my cell phone with me up until I leave here, so everyone should feel free to call me and say goodbye. Afterwards my Dad will be taking over my cell phone number. So everyone is free to call him and say hello.

Now, off to repack my carry-on, again.

    Today's the day! I'm excited for you! This morning I got to thinking about what it must be like for you to head out today, for the first leg of your departure, and for a few minutes I got that feeling of nervous anticipation that you have probably been experiencing on and off for weeks. You’re about to meet some very interesting people and see things that you have never seen before, all the while helping and educating. This is an amazing time for you and I hope you enjoy every second of it!

    Take pictures! Send postcards! Check e-mail! Jump on IM from time to time, if your not insanely busy enjoying all that Georgia has to offer! Most of all, have fun and stay safe!

    Sorry to send this to you so late, i know you already left for your trip.... frankly speaking, i totally forgot about this,it was just awhile ago that i remembered when my cellphone beeped and the reminder says that today is the day... but when i read your mother's email she said you already went... so my "good luck for your trip" is kind a bit late. but still, i want to wish you one........ paiza

    i love you and miss you already my pigeon master. you need to come here and help me pack because i'm distressed and don't know what to do! how does one pack up her life? in 6 check-ins and 3 carry-ons? i can do it in 100lbs of carryable bags, but can't do it otherwise.

    Just spoke with Erica at staging and she said that she most likely will not have Internet access for the first 9 weeks!

    Sounds like she is enjoying meeting the 40 or so people in her group.

    She appreciates all the support and well-wishes she's received.
